Instruments by the Stentor Company need no introduction. Although strictly an English company their instruments are manufactured in their own workshop in China.
This tenth-size violin is labelled Stentor Student I. This model violin has a solid reputation for conforming to the expectations of good violin making and when correctly set up, they sound very good.
This particular violin is responsive and will reward a young musician for effort. It is in superb condition and was recently set up by Johan Grobbelaar who paid particular attention to string height and correct soundpost setting.
This violin outfit includes a matching bow, an oblong violin case and a Sandner KUN-style shoulder rest. (See photo).
