This cello bow has superb playing properties, evidenced by signs of much use and wear in the grip area. A calculated guess would put its making at around 1910. Its authorship is unknown.
The tip facing is of silver, but the frog and adjustor are mounted in nickel silver which would indicate that these are probably not the originals.

Condition :

This bow has been the subject of several repairs, notably around the adjustor and mortise area. It must be noted that there is a repair to the tip, just above the tip slide and tip mortise. These repairs are virtually invisible. Other than the above repairs the stick is free from cracks or fractures and is in excellent condition. It can be said with certainty that all repairs have been supremely well done and the bow's structural integrity is beyond question. In its present condition it should give many more decades of excellent performance.
