This bow's stamp has been worn down to being illegible. It is stamped in the usual place to be read upside down and all that can be discerned is '…à Paris'.
The wear on this bow no doubt attests to its excellent playing properties which may have been well appreciated by several generations of players. It has seen repairs but the stick remains in excellent condition. A calculated guess would date it to around 1880.

Despite being old and much used, this stick is in very good condition. There is a silver ring around the end as repair of the crack at the end of the stick. This bow can be said to be structurally secure and should serve for many decades to come.
