This violin bow has truly superb playing properties that would satisfy the most astute and demanding musician. It has signs of much use but is in impeccable condition. The frog and adjustor appear to be original.

Heinz Dölling was born in 1913 into a family of foremost German bowmakers and was active in Wernitzgrün in Saxony during the late 1930's. He died in 2001.

  Octagonal, of good pernambuco

The Nut :
  Plain ebony, bearing the maker's stamp.
The adjuster button is of plain silver, the original

Mountings :
  Solid silver. The frog slide is in silver, not mother-of-pearl

Lapping :
  Silver wire lapping. Recent black leather thumbpad

Tip Slide :
  Indeterminate. Recent

Condition :
  This bow is in excellent condition, free from repairs. Recently rehaired
