This well-toned violin is representative of the truly excellent trade instruments now being produced in the Czech Republic, rivalling the best productions of other such studios throughout the world and targeting those students who are looking for a truly superb upgrade.
This violin shows extremely fine workmanship throughout, notably in the tracing of the purfling and the mitres. The scroll is elegant and well-balanced. The choice of materials is excellent, with the two-piece back, ribs, neck and scroll apparently cut from the same block of wood - a lovely, nicely-figured piece of maple with a narrow, straight and distinct curl. The top is of medium to narrow-grained tone spruce. The varnish is an attractive reddish-brown of high transparency, complimenting the wood nicely.
This instrument is based on the Stradivari pattern. The tone is big and responsive, allowing for ease of execution which should open a big door of progress for a talented student.
