This is a new instrument, made only in 2015, yet already it has the maturity of a cello that has seen a lot of playing. The tone is responsive, open and well-balanced over the full register in all dynamics and positions. It is a pleasure to play on.

The workmanship in this cello is truly excellent from every perspective, showing meticulous care in execution, notably in the crisp work in the purfling and beautiful bee-stings in the mitres (see photos). It has a very clean appearance.

It is made of a fine selection of materials - the two-piece maple back and ribs are beautifully flamed with a distinct and straight figure of medium to fine curl - very nice. The top is of excellent tone spruce with narrow to medium grain.

This is a good cello by all standards.

It is currently fitted with a set of Tomastik Spirit strings which were put on only after the photos were taken. It is sold with a zipped padded carry bag.
